TOTAL: RecordT and TOTAL: Quality Solutions

PITTSBURGH, April 25, 2006 - Esteam, LLC, a leading provider of comprehensive software solutions for human services agencies, today announced that the Association for Independent Growth (TAIG), one of Philadelphia's largest providers of supports for people with disabilities, has selected Esteam software and services for improving administrative processes and supporting continuous improvement efforts. TAIG licensed TOTAL: RecordT, a software application that helps human services providers dramatically improve clinical and reimbursement processes, and TOTAL: Quality, a Web-based assessment management tool that simplifies data collection and analysis to help create a quality-driven organization.

TAIG is currently implementing TOTAL: Quality to help address the increasingly complex reporting requirements faced by today's human services agencies.

"Many of the people we support with services came to us with very specific, court-determined standards for service," said Agnes Rudolf, TAIG's vice president of administration and chief financial officer. "The unique circumstances of these individuals place specific, quality related reporting requirements on our organization. For example, we routinely are required to submit quality improvement plans to Philadelphia and Montgomery counties, as well as provide data to a number of independent monitoring organizations.

"The ability to gather and organize outcomes and related data, including historical information in TOTAL: Quality, improves our ability to meet these demands without continually reinventing the process," Rudolf added. "We also can create a wide range of reports that are meaningful to our board of directors and executives, while maintaining the flexibility to provide information to external audiences including family members, support coordinators and advocacy groups."

TAIG personnel will use TOTAL: Record to enable the organization to comply with the new Pennsylvania reporting and billing standards that will roll out under PROMISe (Provider Reimbursement and Operations Management Information System). PROMISe will establish a single, uniform system-and a detailed set of service codes-for managing patient information and claims processing, and is now being piloted by numerous organizations throughout the state.
